Product Designer (all levels)

About DOJO

We're building a new product category - an AI-powered Operating System that transforms how companies grow. One and a half years in, we're growing 20% month-over-month, just closed a $6M seed round, and used by 100+ world-class brands. We were recently named one of Wired's 100 Hottest Startups and included on Sifted's Startups To Watch.

Design is core to what we're building. DOJO sits at the intersection of autonomous agents, real-time data, and complex marketing workflows - and the product has to make all of that feel effortless. We're not putting a chat window on a dashboard; we're inventing what AI-native UX looks like, with the craft and polish of the products designers love to use. Under the hood, we're building a next-generation AI and data platform - multi-agent systems, a real-time data fabric synthesizing hundreds of millions of signals, graph-based knowledge representations, and proprietary evaluation infrastructure. All in production, all evolving fast.

We're a product company first. We don't build tools for consultants to configure - we build a product customers love, one that works flawlessly, with great design, supported by engineering excellence that makes it possible. We make the simple easy and the complex possible. And we build our business around this ethos.

About This Role

Design is where DOJO becomes a product customers love. Our values name it directly - great design isn't a layer we add at the end, it's how the simple becomes easy and the complex becomes possible. The product surfaces real-time intelligence, agentic workflows, and dense marketing data - and the job of design is to make all of that feel obvious, even delightful, to the people using it.

This is the second product designer at DOJO. You'll join a small design team - a product designer already in place as your peer, and a brand/marketing designer partnering closely with the CEO - with a mandate to help shape how design scales from here. The two product designers divide the product surface fluidly based on priorities: research, IA, interaction, visual, design system, prototyping - it's all in scope. The bar we set with this hire is the bar for every designer who joins after.

You'll work at the frontier of AI-native interaction design - inventing how users collaborate with autonomous agents, how intelligence surfaces without overwhelming, how real-time interfaces respond when the AI acts and the UI has to keep up. Think Linear or Figma in craft, but pushing into territory where no established playbook exists. You'll report to Antonio, partner daily with your fellow product designer, collaborate closely with the brand/marketing designer on the seam between product and brand, and work hand-in-hand with the frontend engineers on the design system and the quality of what ships.

Experience Levels

We don't do hierarchy - everyone designs, everyone ships, everyone has a voice. What changes with experience is the surface area you take on and the complexity of the calls you're ready to make.

  • A few years in - You've shipped meaningful product work end-to-end, own features, and have strong craft. You're growing fast alongside designers and engineers who care deeply about quality.

  • Deep experience - You've led design on complex products, raised the bar for others, and shaped design systems. You own major product surfaces and make the UX calls that define them.

  • Been doing this a long time - You've shaped design organizations and worked on products used at scale. You help define what AI-native UX looks like and influence product direction through design.

What You'll Do

  • Own product surfaces end-to-end - research, IA, interaction, visual, prototype, and ship - making deliberate choices that compound over time

  • Partner with the other product designer to divide and conquer across the product, trading work fluidly based on priorities rather than fixed ownership lines

  • Collaborate with the brand/marketing designer on the shared language between product and brand, so DOJO feels like one thing everywhere customers encounter it

  • Work closely with frontend engineers on the design system and on implementation craft - pushing for pixel-level quality where it matters and pragmatic calls where it doesn't

  • Prototype AI-native interactions where no established patterns exist - agentic workflows, just-in-time interfaces, real-time reasoning surfaces, hyper-personalized experiences

  • Help shape how design scales at DOJO - our review rituals, our design system, the bar for craft, and the way design partners with product and engineering

You May Be a Good Fit If You Have

  • A strong portfolio of shipped product work - real products used by real people, not just concepts or exploratory case studies

  • Systems thinking - comfort with complex domains, data-dense UIs, and multi-step workflows where the information architecture is as important as the visual surface

  • Craft at every fidelity - you can sketch a flow on a whiteboard, design a pixel-perfect screen, and prototype a real interaction in Figma (or in code)

  • Comfort in ambiguity - you're happy shaping problems from first principles, not just solving ones that arrive fully specified

  • Strong opinions on how things should feel, and the instinct to push back when something isn't right - paired with low ego and a bias toward shipping

  • Interest in AI-native interaction - curious about agents, reasoning surfaces, real-time interfaces, and the patterns still being invented

  • Experience with B2B, enterprise, or prosumer products - especially in marketing, martech, or other data-dense domains - is a plus

  • Ability to prototype in code (HTML/CSS, React, or similar) is a strong plus

  • Motion design sensibility and fluency in prototyping tools beyond static Figma is a plus
